New York · Department of State

Every new New York company, every morning.

New York’s Division of Corporations publishes every new LLC and corporation filed in the state. We parse them overnight and put the day’s filings in your inbox by 8am the next business day.

What New York publishes

New York names a service address, not always a person.

New York is unusual: the Department of State itself is the default agent for service of process on most LLCs, and the filing carries an address the state forwards to. That makes the raw record thin on names, which is exactly the gap we fill by matching contacts against the address and entity.

On every New York record

  • Entity name and DOS ID number
  • Type: LLC, corporation or LP
  • Filing date and county of location
  • Service-of-process address
  • Registered agent where separately named
  • Officers where the filing lists them
  • Email and phone where matched

What we take out

A large share of New York filings route service through commercial agent companies whose Albany addresses appear on thousands of records.

Those entities are stripped before your file is built — no data, no charge.

New York questions

Before you start.

Where does the New York data come from?

The New York Department of State, Division of Corporations, State Records and Uniform Commercial Code. New filings are pulled every business day and normalized into our standard schema.

Is the county of location included?

Yes. New York LLCs must designate a county, which is a genuinely useful filter — it separates Manhattan and Brooklyn formations from upstate ones without relying on the mailing address.

Does the record name the owner?

Often not directly, because New York permits service through the Department of State rather than a named individual. Where the filing doesn’t name a person, we append contacts by matching the entity and address — that appended data is where our accuracy figure applies.
