We read the registries so you don’t have to.
Formations Feed exists because the most valuable moment to reach a company is the week it comes into existence, and that information is public, scattered across fifty-one agencies, and miserable to collect.
The problem
Every business in the United States starts with a filing. Those filings are public. In principle, anyone who sells to new businesses — accountants, insurance brokers, banks, bookkeepers, payroll providers, commercial cleaners, IT firms — should be able to see them the day they happen.
In practice almost nobody can. Every state publishes differently. Some charge per search. Some ship pipe-delimited files over SFTP; others make you log into a portal. Field names don’t match, entity types don’t match, and the whole thing changes without notice when an agency updates its system. Collecting one state is tedious. Collecting fifty-one is a full-time engineering job that never ends.
What we do
We pull new filings from every state registry every business day, parse them into one schema, append business contact details where we can match them, and deliver the result as a CSV in your inbox or a call to our API by 8am the next morning.
A record from Louisiana arrives with the same columns in the same order as a record from Alaska. Adding a state never breaks your import. That is most of the work, and it’s the part nobody sees.
What we take out
A large share of filings in any state are submitted in bulk by commercial registered agent services on behalf of clients — often clients in another state entirely. The only address on those records is a mail-forwarding suite, and no amount of enrichment turns it into a business you can sell to.
We strip them out before the file is built. It makes our numbers smaller than they could be. We think a short list you can work beats a long one you can’t.
How we think about accuracy
Entity details come straight from the filing, so they’re as accurate as the registry. Contact details are matched from other sources, and matching is imperfect — we publish what we expect rather than implying perfection, and where we can’t match a contact we leave the field blank instead of guessing at one.
We’d rather tell you a state will give you a thin file than sell you a thick one full of addresses that go nowhere. That’s the same reason our Nevada and Delaware pages say plainly that those feeds run short.
How we’re priced
Per state, per month, no annual contract, no seat licences, no overage invoices. Test one state before committing to a country. Per-state pricing stops at the all-states price, so adding states never costs more than the bundle. It’s all on the pricing page, in numbers, without a “contact sales” wall.
Who we are
Formations Feed is an independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any Secretary of State or state filing office, and everything we publish is compiled from records those agencies make public.
If you want to reach a person, the contact page goes straight to us, or email contact@formationsfeed.com.
