Where the information comes from

Entity details originate in public records published by state business registries. Sources use different documents, fields and publication processes. The delivered file organises the collected information into a consistent structure; that structure does not guarantee a value in every column or every statewide filing.

Use the state guides to understand source differences. Confirm active collection coverage, entity events and delivered fields before choosing states.

Keep the dates separate

Source filing date

The date of the registry event. It is not necessarily the date a business opened or started trading.

Collection timing

When the record became available to the collection process. Publication delays and collection gaps can separate this from the source filing date.

Delivery timing

The arrangement confirmed before activation. A filing date or public collected count does not promise when a particular row will reach your inbox.

What the fields help you research

• Entity name, identifier and jurisdiction: research the legal entity and distinguish similar names. A trading name or operating state may differ.
• Type and registry status: interpret the legal registration. Active status does not prove trading activity or buying interest.
• Principal and mailing addresses: research the business location, then check current operations and your service territory.
• Registered agent or office: identify the legal-document contact. Hiring a commercial provider does not make the company a shell or remove its value as a prospect.
• Named filing roles: read organisers, officers, members and managers according to what the source actually discloses.
• Purpose, industry or website where available: use these as research clues, then verify the current business activity and domain match.
• Available phone and email: distinguish source-published information from appended matches, and check the relevant contact before outreach.
