Ohio · Secretary of State

Every new Ohio company, every morning.

Ohio’s Business Services Division registers every new LLC and corporation in the state and publishes the filings openly. The day’s entities reach your inbox by 8am the next business morning.

What Ohio publishes

Three metros, one registry.

Ohio’s formation activity splits fairly evenly between Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati rather than concentrating in one city, which makes it unusually workable as a territory. Filings name the statutory agent and, on corporations, the incorporators.

On every Ohio record

  • Entity name and charter number
  • Type: LLC, corporation, LP or LLP
  • Filing date and status
  • Statutory agent and agent address
  • Incorporators where the filing lists them
  • Principal business address
  • Email and phone where matched

What we take out

Filings routed through commercial statutory agent services carry the agent’s Columbus address rather than the business’s own.

We remove them before your file is built. No data, no charge, nothing to filter.

Ohio questions

Before you start.

Where does the Ohio data come from?

The Ohio Secretary of State, Business Services Division. New filings are pulled every business day and normalized into the same schema as every other state we cover.

Can I split the three metros?

Yes, by city or ZIP. Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati are separate markets with separate volume, and Ohio is one of the few states where a single rep can realistically work all three.

Does Ohio require annual reports?

Ohio doesn’t require annual reports from most LLCs, which means the formation filing is often the freshest information the state will ever hold. That makes catching the entity in its first week more important here than almost anywhere else.
