Every new Delaware company, every morning.
Delaware incorporates more companies than any state in the country, and publishes less about them than almost any other. Here is exactly what you get, and what you don’t.
Delaware names the agent, and stops there.
Delaware’s certificate of formation requires the entity name and the registered agent — not members, not managers, not a principal address. That is the entire point of filing here, and it is why Delaware is the hardest state in the country to prospect honestly.
On every Delaware record
- Entity name and file number
- Type: LLC, corporation, LP or statutory trust
- Formation date and status
- Registered agent and agent address
- Franchise tax status
- Contact details only where we can match them independently
Read this before you buy Delaware
Delaware is a formation destination. The large majority of entities registered here are owned and operated somewhere else, and reach the register through an agent whose Wilmington address appears on tens of thousands of filings.
Because we exclude agent-formed entities, a Delaware feed is a fraction of the state’s raw filing count. If you want Delaware volume, this is not the product. If you want the small number of businesses that actually operate in Delaware, it is.
Before you start.
Where does the Delaware data come from?
The Delaware Division of Corporations, part of the Department of State. New filings are pulled every business day and normalized into our standard schema.
Should I buy Delaware at all?
Only if you sell to businesses physically operating in Delaware. If you’re after founders of newly incorporated startups, you’ll do far better buying the state they actually work in — the Delaware filing will tell you almost nothing about them.
Do I get members or managers?
No, because Delaware doesn’t collect them. Any product claiming to sell you Delaware LLC ownership from the formation filing is inferring it from somewhere else, and should tell you so.
